Product Care
Intro [back
to top]
BronzeFactory.com is committed to
offering only the best in products and customer care. Our products were
bought to be displayed to the whole world because of it's magnificent
quality and detail, not hidden away in the closet like others. And
because of this theory, we would like to offer you some tips on
keeping your precious values, still valuable. Over time the bronze, if
exposed to moisture and oxygen, will begin to naturally accumulate thin
green layers known as patina. The patinated bronze is at the beginning
somewhat of a welcoming sight. The only problem about letting the bronze
patinate naturally is that it tends to do it at a slow rate, taking from
4-7 years to begin. When the process does initiate, it starts
accumulating in different regions of the statues bring out an
undesirable effect, which we dubbed as the "Spot Effect." However when
the process does finalized, the entire bronze should take on a green
patina which makes the statue highly valuable for its color.
Subduing the Spot Effect [back
to top]
To help subdue the "Spot Effect", all
you have to do is simply wax your bronzes. As a rule of thumb, we
recommend that you wax indoor sculptures at least once a year and
outdoor sculpture 2 to 3 time a year.
Cleaning Indoor Sculptures [back
to top]
(1)Using a soft cloth or old t-shirt,
gently wipe your sculpture free of any dust or debris. A soft bristle
paintbrush may be used for textured areas. If excessively dirty, a damp
cloth may be used to gently wipe away debris.
(2)Make sure the sculpture is dry, then
using a soft bristle brush *apply a thick coat of Trewax (Trewax can be
purchases from your local hardware store.) When first applied the patina
may darken but as the wax dries the original color should return.
(3)Let set for approximately 5 to 10
minutes, then gently buff back with a soft rag or that old t-shirt.
(4)You may repeat steps 2 and 3 until
the desired effect is achieved.
Cleaning Outdoor Sculptures
[back
to top]
(1)Begin by washing sculpture with a
soapy water, and a fiber brush until all debris have been removed, rinse
well with water.
(2)Next, dry sculpture completely either
by towels or by natural sunlight, but be sure all water has been
removed.
(3)After all water has been
removed make sure the sculpture is cooled (early morning, shaded, or in
the evening) then begin to *apply your Trewax. When first applied the
patina may darken but as the wax dries the original color should return.
(4)Let set for approximately 5 to 10
minutes, then gently buff back with a soft rag or that old t-shirt.
(5)You may repeat steps 3 and 4 until
the desired effect is achieved.
*NOTE: Bronze sculpture must be at room
temperature or cooler, otherwise the wax will not be able to dry.

Website Problems
I Cannot View the Catalog/
Changing Resolution
[back
to top]
Our website was created to be viewed with the latest video cards and
monitor on the market. Users have mentioned some potential problems
viewing the catalogs. There are numerous ways to work around this, but
the method we suggest is to adjust your screen resolution to 1024 x 768
or higher. This resolution is usually the default on most newer Mac and
Windows computer.
To change the settings for windows simply go to your desktop, right
click on the wall paper, select properties, select the settings tab,
select the suggested screen resolution, click apply. Now login AGAIN to
the website, and the catalog should be displaying properly.
To change the settings for MAC- [We currently do not have the details on
this. If you are a Mac user and can suggest a way to change the screen
resolution please send an email to
webmaster@bronzefactory.com
and we'll add it here.]
I'm Only Allowed To View One

Don't worry! In most cases you are only allowed to view one item, and
not the second and so forth because your pop-up blocker is well,
blocking it. Simply add us to your list of approved sites. Pop-up
blockers come in all size and shapes so we can not recommend a detailed
method in accomplishing this. Please refer to your Pop-up blocker user's
guide for more details.
